Yearly, from approximately the 20th of June until mid July, you can gaze an impressive flower festival on the plateau of Castelluccio: The fiorita or fioritura di Castelluccio di Norcia.

The plateau of Castelluccio, on the border of Umbria and Le Marche, is situated in the hart of the Sibillini Mountains National Park. 

The bloom of 15 square kilometer of flowers make the great plains of Castelluccio explode with colors. With the wide variety of colors and plants flourishing, this is one of the most spectacular moments to visit the Parco Nazionale dei Sibillini.

You can do this on your own but there are also several organized excursions in June and July.
